Looking for literacy and early learning resources to help your kids succeed? Inside the library you can find board books, pictures books, puzzles, STEM kits, digital literacy tools, and a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy collection materials. We also have Story and Craft programming available in-person. On a computer or other device, parents can access a variety of online reading and reference materials as well as age appropriate games for grades K-8.
Inside the Library:

Board Books, Picture Books, Early Readers, and more... Alongside our collection, there are comfortable seats for reading, STEM kits, and puzzles in the children's section. Take Home literacy kits are available each month thanks to the Great Start Collaborative in Mecosta-Osceola Counties.

The Reed City Area District Library holds programming for children year round. Check our events page for details. Story and Craft Time are available for kids age 3-7 on Wednesday's at 11:30 am during fall, winter, and spring. Our yearly Summer Reading Program is available to all kids ages 0-18, where we encourage kids to continue reading outside of school.

Free and for pay options. Grade PreK - 5. Games to improve reading, numbers, letters, spelling, and language skills. Features some Spanish games.
Read beginning-reader books online. Don't know a word? No problem. You can click any word and have it read to you. Books are colorful and fun, featuring plays, nonfiction, and comics.

Resources are used to advance the mission of helping kids learn to love math. Daily math problems, a bedtime math book, Crazy 8s Club, Math on the Go printable games to use during car time, and short, fun videos for solving math problems.
Strengthen your brain cells by playing math arcade games, reading popular ebooks such as, "Galactic Hot Dogs" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and getting creative with MadLibs Junior. (Beginning Reader Friendly)
